Well this is a bit risky.

As a Digital Marketer, 99% of my life is to use screen time and be on top of everything social and tech. But after midnight tonight, I am going to go on a 4-week-Ditox.

I’ve chosen to do a social media detox, a TV detox AND an alcohol detox because I want to improve my overall health and wellbeing. I want to be less distracted and more focused. This means no Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Netflix or my old mate TV. I’ll go back to basics and will still be available via phone, SMS to remain connected, YouTube for inspiration, and LinkedIn and email for work’s sake. International mates can email me.

The subject matter of this post is in area that I must admit I have concerns of my ability to take action for 4 full weeks. I am concerned but I have faith. My dopamine and oxytocin ‘love hormone’ levels are very likely to soar. I might get mental and physical withdrawals. I might relapse. But who knows, I could be extra productive and live life with more presence, clarity and purpose.

I’ll jot down my daily experiences here for those who are interested in this Ditox journey.
