DAY 3 OF 4 WEEK DIGITAL DETOX

Today was definitely a challenge. Transcription below:

MORNING

  • Went to be at 10.30pm last night
  • Woke up at 8.30am (too late) and (drank warm) lemon water
  • Checked for SMS and missed calls (terrible!)
  • Turned on Spotify instead as a distraction

AFTERNOON

  • Today's goals: Meet with client for job update and to finalise tasks for a Linkedin profile (revamp), finish last night's book and (complete) 20 non-stop pushups - JUST COMPLETED =)
  • Do tricks with Coco the family dog
  • Very productive client meeting (went for 2 hours)

NIGHT

  • Went to bar/club - had no booze, just water (and still had equal fun)
  • Before that, had a family dinner and checked phone a number of times
  • Didn't finish reading book as ran out of time
  • Arrived home at 2.30am. BED TIME.

DAILY WRAP / FINDINGS

  • Woke up late, went to bed late
  • Can have fun and 'party' without consuming alcohol
  • Don't set an overl ambitious goal (such as reading book) when you have planned tasks for the day that may go overtime (eg family dinner)
  • Did not relapse; No social media, TV or alcohol.

VERDICT = PASS
